Is this staged or combat photography?

Because only 2 of the marines are holding their rifles in the "ready" position, all combat personel, are taught to always keep their rifle in the ready position in casse of sudden enemy contact, if an enemy fgot the sudden drop on this squad only 2 would be able to return fire imedeately... The holding of the stock and foregrip which these soldiers are doing are something from back i nthe 2nd world war, when we weren't using pistol grips on rifles.
Did you flip it? as in mirrored the image after you took it?
The 2 that ARE in the ready position are holding their weapons incorrectly. they are holding their weapons grip left handed. ALL shooters regardless of dexterity are taught to shoot right handed with rifles, because the spent casing are shot out of the M16A2/A3 to the right. If you were to fire left handed you'd get hot spent rounds in your face and eyes, something that isn't good! Theres a famous picture of Prince william being taught how to use a MP5 left handed, there was many an angry letter from military brass pressing the same issue.

However, looking at your other deviation, it looks liek you've seen service over in Iraq. So you probably know what actual combat is like, and how all the theory and tactical thinking likely don't mean a whole lot when someone is shooting at you with an Ak-47...
regardless, you've caught the emotion and momentum behind the peice. for which, congratulations!
